Now before I get started, I should tell you that we are all RV newbs. All we know is that it is like a house on wheels that we intend to take to Alaska. What we did not realize is that said house needs to be plugged in every night (we did not even know where this plug was!), and that water needs to be pumped in it each morning (where from would be another good question). One more issue of common sense that we failed to consider is that you cannot just place objects on the table like you would in a house, because when a car moves, objects on tables tend not to stay put.
By the time we were on the road, it was 3pm. At about 3:30pm, we realized that we were heading back towards Vancouver (which was not the plan).
All of this confusion was long forgotten when we entered the beautiful Canadian countryside. I’ve always argued that Australia is a lot like the USA, whereas Canada is a lot like NZ. There is a lot more hype about Australia and USA. But even though each of those countries are beautiful, Canada and NZ are beyond this world! And every corner we turned while driving today just proved that theory right for me. I cannot possibly capture the beauty in words or in pictures.
I will tell you though, as glamorous and impressive those 5 stars hotels and restaurants were, this, right here, with the mosquitoes and dirty campground washrooms, is definitely my natural habitat.
